Estates, complexes and newer homes
Much of Fourways is made up of security estates, townhouse complexes and newer homes. These usually have more modern boards and plumbing than older suburbs, but they have their own challenges: shared services run by a body corporate or homeowners’ association, access control at the gate, and rules about working hours and noise. When you book, give us the estate name, the unit number and any gate access details, and tell your managing agent we are coming.
Backup power and surge protection
Many homes in newer developments have an inverter or solar system to cope with load shedding. These systems add equipment to the installation, and surges when the power returns can still damage appliances. Surge protection at the distribution board and a correct changeover arrangement help protect your equipment. Geysers and plumbing
Geysers still fail early in Johannesburg, mostly because of hard water and scale, as we explain on our geyser replacement page. If yours is leaking, dripping from the overflow pipe or no longer heating, we can repair or replace it. A full replacement includes a new drip tray, valves and vacuum breakers. For burst pipes and urgent leaks, call our emergency plumber.

Yes. We serve homes and businesses within 20 km of our Maryvale base. Fourways is near the northern edge of that area, so if your address is further north, call us and we will confirm before you book.
Can you get into my estate?
Yes, if you send us the gate access details when you book. Most estates ask for the contractor’s names and vehicle details in advance.
What does it cost?
Quotations are free and there is no call-out fee. You pay for labour, any parts, and a R400 travelling fee. Our hourly rate is available on request.
